Counterfeit Clothes Donated Homeless Charity

Custom and Border Protection seized nearly $10 000 worth of counterfeit clothes last week, and have donated them to a charityfor the homeless.

The 3696 mens shirts arrived in a seas container, bearing counterfeit trademarks, but the legitimate brand owner gave CBP permission to give the items to a worthy cause. Shelter Partnership is dedicated to alleviating, preventing and ending homelessness throughout the Los Angeles County.

While dangerous goods that violate trade laws are destroyed, federal law allows that with authorization, items seized like counterfeit clothes can be donated to charities and distributed to the homeless and those in need.
