Movember
Mo –slang for moustache
Movember – the month formally known as November
Movember is an annual charity event held during November where guys grow a moustache
The moustache is our ribbon, it’s the vehicle by which we raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer and men’s health around the world
Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, our commitment is to grow a moustache
Guys register at www.movember.com and start 1 Movember with a clean shaven face;
The Movember participants, known as Mo Bros, have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache while raising money and awareness for the chosen beneficiary partner in each country.
Movember culminates at the end of the month at official Gala Parties, Mo-office, Mo-town and campus parties, where Tom Selleck and Borat look-a-likes battle it out for their chance to be the Man of Movember.
Whilst growing a Mo is left to the guys, Mo Sistas (ladies that support their guys or just love Mos!) form an important part of Movember by recruiting Mo Bros and attending the highly anticipated Gala Parties.
Movember is about having fun and putting the moustache back on the face of fashion for a critically important cause – prostate cancer

It started with one woman’s belief that helping kids learn to read would make a difference. A flight attendant flying for one of the major airline carriers on 9/11, LeeAnn Butler-Owens was prompted by the loss of friends and coworkers to examine her part in making the world a better place. By combining her interest in early childhood development with a love of music and the arts, Butler-Owens started by developing a children’s musical audio book. Marketing soon turned to gifting as she realized how many children fell through the cracks at the most critical stage of reading development. She understood that while exploring her own creativity she must find a way to help young children do the same in an effort to enhance learning. Read on…
